Biography

Laura Fuentes is an emerging Mexican/Canadian artist working out of Eastern Ontario. Her creative practice can be characterized as an exploration of self through various mediums, including acrylic paint, charcoal, photography, printmaking, and mixed media. Her artistic palette draws inspiration from a range of styles, including realism, surrealism, symbolism, still life, and portraiture.

Laura is an honours graduate of Algonquin College and has furthered her artistic education at Algonquin College's Photography degree program and St. Lawrence's Visual and Creative Fine Art program, where she continues to refine her craft. Beyond her academic pursuits, Laura actively engages with her artistic community.

 

Laura has had work featured in multiple group exhibitions. As Laura continues to evolve as an artist, she remains committed to exploring the conjunction of identity, culture, and personal expression through her body of work.
